Trinton Hurt

REALTOR®

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to explore the depths of Trinton’s existence and what he has to offer you—and the other lovely residents of San Diego—as your strategic real estate advisor.

Who is Trinton Hurt? He is an insatiable humanitarian—a January 25 Aquarius, to be precise—who cares deeply about the life we are all graced to share and experience on this Earth. At his core, Trinton is a self-proclaimed nerd who thrives on knowledge, analyzes the fine details, and extracts as much growth and healing as possible through his process. His “why” is anchored in restoring ecological and socioecological health through philanthropy.

Trinton’s real estate journey was inspired by Million Dollar Listing—a classic—along with his family’s investment background, and is fueled by his understanding of multidimensional wellness. A boutique brokerage took him under its wing when he was 17, sponsored his license, and hired him at 18. Then, in September 2019, his performance caught the attention of a San Francisco tech-based brokerage, Avenue 8, where he launched his solo career.

A year into his time at Avenue 8, Trinton met the founders of Carmody Real Estate—Scott Carmody, Robert Welper, and Anthony Aguilera—and that relationship became the glass slipper that helped expand his vision.

P.S. Trinton is a big foodie and loves brunch!

"My landlord tried to raise my rent 8% on a renewal, and I figured I just had to pay it or move. I casually mentioned it to Trinton and he offered to look at the comps in my neighborhood. He came back with a breakdown showing the increase was unsupported, and even drafted a counter for me to send. The landlord settled on a 2% increase. That one conversation saved me more than enough to cover a nice bag I was saving up for. "

"I was moving from Culver City to Pasadena for a new job and had about a week to find something. Trinton did video walkthroughs of four different places and was brutally honest about each one. He noticed dated appliances and some wear on the floors that the listing photos totally hid. When we decided on the best option, he negotiated a credit to cover the cosmetic stuff. It was a huge relief knowing someone was looking out for my money even when I couldn't be there in person. "

"Moving to the Hermosa Beach area for the first time was intimidating—I didn't know the buildings, the pricing, or how to spot a bad deal. Trinton walked me through the whole thing like a pro. He pointed out construction noise issues in one unit I was ready to sign for, which saved me from a nightmare. Then, he used that same intel to negotiate a lower rate on a different unit next door. I ended up with a view of the valley and ocean and a lease that was actually within my budget. He has the patience of a teacher and the instincts of a negotiator. "

"I've moved around a lot in LA, and I've never had an agent actually negotiate a lease for me—usually it's just, 'Here's the listing, good luck.' Trinton was different. He found this great house in Mar Vista, and then went to work. He got the landlord to knock $300 off the monthly rent and throw in new washer and dryer, which in this city is basically winning the lottery. He reviewed the lease line by line and caught a few things I never would have noticed. It felt like having a really smart friend who also happens to be a total boss when needed. "

"I had been watching the market during the pandemic craziness, and honestly, it looked like a bloodbath. I almost didn't want to try. But Jason had just closed with Trinton and told me I'd be an idiot to use anyone else. He was right. The market out here was pure chaos—multiple offers, waiving everything—but Trinton had this unnerving calm about him. He wasn't interested in just 'winning' a bidding war; he was interested in winning smart. His analysis was so precise, he showed us exactly where we had leverage and where we needed to hold firm. He knew the neighborhoods, the inventory, and the numbers inside and out. That kind of precision is rare. "

"Buying our first place in Los Angeles felt like we were trying to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded. There's so much noise out there, and we were honestly pretty nervous about making a mistake that would cost us. Trinton was the total opposite of every stereotype you hear about real estate agents. He taught us the why behind every step, from navigating disclosures to understanding exactly what we could ask for after the inspection. When we hit a major snag on a property we had fallen for, he stepped in and negotiated a package of seller concessions that kept the deal alive. We went from offer to keys in just 11 days. It was intense, but we felt completely held the entire time. We didn't just find a house; we found someone who genuinely cared about getting us there safely. "
